Two high desert artists share last glimpses of the landscapes they left behind before venturing on their fellowships in Antarctica this austral spring. 

Margeaux Walter’s performative photographs in Sedimental highlight a dynamic group of seemingly picture-perfect environments throughout the western United States, altered by the artist’s nuanced presence within them.  Brad’s work explores the permutations of place through local boulder formations captured through photogrammetry then rendered, layered and animated to reveal their deep time heritage.

Margeaux and Brad will share their recent experiences at the end of the world as PolarSTEAM fellows. Polar STEAM is a U.S. National Science Foundation—funded program facilitated by Oregon State University.
